We do not have a God who merely pontificated about His desire to save humanity.

We have a God who proved His love. Who testified to it in a historical moment — His Son stepping into human history, robing Himself in actual humanity, dying a physical death, and rising in a way that could be verified in first-century Jerusalem.

He didn't say it. He showed it.

In your life, the supreme act of worship is not giving money or going to church or singing hymns, but giving yourself to the Lord.

The greatest gift in this passage isn't the Macedonians' money, it's the Macedonians themselves. They gave themselves first to the Lord. But once God had them, their possessions followed quite easily.

God had their hearts — of course He has all that belongs to them."
