Together, we’ll raise awareness, promote safety, celebrate accessibility and show our support for people who are blind or have low vision.

The heat did not keep us from gathering with individuals and families at the properties managed by Springfield Housing Authority Friday. The HAS staff grilled up lunch and we checked voter registrations, talked about accessible ways to
vote and all the services empower: abilities provides, Big shout out to e:a Board Member Cheri Montgomery and her American Association of People with Disabilities REV Up work. Next stops are Tuesday @ Missouri State University and then Wednesday is Jordan's Place in Marshfield. Stay tuned for details!

This week at Empower: Youth, we’re talking about what it means to build good character—and why it matters at home, at school, at work and in our friendships.

We’ll explore qualities such as honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness and perseverance. Participants will also learn how their choices shape the way others see them, strengthen relationships and help build trust and confidence.
