I have to post these comments on their own 😅 It makes me laugh because I’m shocked people actually feel this way, but I also feel horrified for the children of this generation who are not being taught to “obey” their parents or person of authority.
When children learn to obey loving, consistent parents, they develop self-discipline, respect for authority, and a teachable spirit. They learn that their choices have consequences and that wisdom often comes from listening to those who have more experience. Obedience also keeps young children safe while they lack the maturity to recognize every danger.
The goal isn’t to raise children who simply follow rules. The goal is to raise adults who have internalized wisdom, exercise self-control, and choose what is right even when no one is watching.
What kind of place would the world be if more children were taught the value of obedience?
