Only six more months until our favorite day of the year! And what better way to celebrate the halfway mark than with great food at D’Arcy’s Pint while supporting a great cause?

We’re excited to partner with D’Arcy’s to raise funds for the St. Patrick Scholarship Program and help our students continue their Catholic education.

Yesterday was a tough one. We closed the doors and walked out of St. Patrick Catholic School for the last time. St. Pat's was so much more than a school. It was a place where children were loved, encouraged and reminded every day that they mattered.

As we packed up, it was important to us that the things that served our students for years could continue to serve others. It seems like a fitting final act for a school that has always been about giving children opportunities and building community.

We were blessed to donate items to many organizations including all of the Springfield schools in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois along with Sacred Heart School in Pana & Our Saviour School in Jacksonville. Thanks to Courtney Westlake, many of our books found good homes at Word Up of Central IL, Laurel United Methodist Church, Central Counties Health Centers, Inc. and other area libraries. We were also grateful to share items with The Outlet, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois, Springfield Public Schools - District 186 and many other organizations in our community.

To everyone who has been part of St. Patrick Catholic School over the years, thank you! Your prayers, generosity and belief in our students made St. Pat’s the special place it was.

The doors may have closed, but there is much more to come! Our work continues through our scholarship program, supporting St. Pat’s students as they continue their Catholic education. We look forward to sharing more about the students we’ll continue to serve, our scholarship program, and our new name very soon! ☘️

We are so proud to see some of our St. Pat’s kiddos beginning their new chapter at St. Aloysius School and Little Flower Catholic School! While we miss seeing their faces every day, we are excited to watch them grow and become part of their new school communities.

These pictures aren’t all of our St. Pat’s kids who made the move to St. Al’s and Little Flower, but we know each and every one of them is going to do great things!

No matter where they go, they’ll always be part of the St. Pat’s family. ☘️

Thursday's Board meeting was a bittersweet one as we gathered for the final time in the St. Patrick School building.

It was especially meaningful to close our meeting with a beautiful prayer written by our longest-serving board member, Sr. Marilyn Jean, Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Illinois, whose more than 30 years of service remind us to be grateful for all that has been while looking ahead with hope.

Since 1910, St. Pat's has been a place where faith, learning, and community have shaped generations. And although we are saying goodbye to this building, the mission and spirit that have guided us for more than a century will continue.

As we begin this new chapter, we are excited to continue raising funds to provide Catholic education assistance, ensuring that the legacy of St. Patrick Catholic School lives on through the students and families we serve.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the St. Pat's story. Because of your faith, generosity, and support, we look forward to carrying on the legacy of St. Patrick for generations to come.
