Tech Foundry's Tech Hub runs the AI Digital Literacy Workshop Series: AI Week — a three-part series aimed at getting you started on your AI journey.

You do not need to know anything about AI to start learning about it.

Learn what AI is, how to use simple tools safely for everyday tasks like health, housing, and work, and how to build a basic sense of its risks.

Part 1: Introduction to AI. What it is, how it works, where it fits into your day.
Part 2: Prompting. How to ask well, and why it changes the answer.
Part 3: Editing files and data. Putting AI to work on real tasks.

Every device you give gets a second life. Tech Foundry's Tech Hub refurbishes donated tech and redistributes it to people and organizations in need — closing the digital divide and supporting our neighbors right here in Western Mass.

We're collecting laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and laptop bags at both our Holyoke and Springfield hubs.

Tech Bridge is back for round two, with nearly double the students.

Tech Foundry’s Tech Bridge program for young adults welcomed our new students into the program at orientation on September 3. With nearly double the number of students from the pilot year, orientation had the feel of a first day done right: team-building, expectation sharing, and a laptop in each student's hands.

The second year of the program brings some exciting new additions:
• a milestone stipend program for the nine months of training - helping to incentivize persistence and reward key milestones: perfect attendance, a finished semester, a brand-new certification. These real achievements deserve to noticed and celebrated.
• more hands-on practice and skills building, with partner 4Life Entertainment & Technology Solutions Inc.
• investment in new technology so students can build skills here at Tech Foundry as well as at partner sites.
An unplanned highlight came from our own team. A Tech Foundry staff member who served in the military talked with students about how technical skills open doors in the service, and how it's possible to earn a degree while serving. For some, that was a new pathway to consider.

Family night followed, with pizza, salad, and family and new friends gathered around the table. Family support is a vital part of this training, and we want families close by as students build grit, discover new routes into tech, and think through what comes next.

Classes began on September 8th. Twenty-four students, a growing circle cheering them on, and a long road ahead. We're glad to be on it with them.

In honor of Labor Day, our main office and Tech Hub Locations will be closed on Monday, September 7th. We hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend celebrating the contributions of workers and enjoying quality time with loved ones. We'll resume regular operations on Tuesday, September 8th. Enjoy the holiday!
