The Joy Givers International is a 501(c)(3) educational not-for-profit organization that seeks to establish after school and other youth-focused social and development programs in West Africa and Haiti. Our mission is to invest in the lives of vulnerable youths living in these regions by providing quality educational resources and services, while equipping them with the necessary foundation to become contributing members in their communities. We keep our students off the street and in a safe, nurturing environment, increasing their daily attendance rates and overall academic performance. We create opportunities for enrichment and academic improvement for at vulnerable youths that are not otherwise available. JGI started an after school program September 2013, which is in currently serving nearly 80 underprivileged elementary children in Monrovia, Liberia. Participants in the program are between the ages of 5–12 years old. The goal of the program is to provide our participants with healthy daily snacks and a safe, fun educational. The program is providing the right opportunities for academic improvement that is not possible to achieve during the regular school day given the limited resources in most disadvantaged schools in Liberia.

The JGI students are so thankful that they had the opportunity to perform to and worship with the Sarah K. Taylor students. A “Big Thank You” to Mrs. Orenault Wiles and the Sarah Taylor staff & students for having us. We had a wonderful time-sharing God’s love and gifts with you all. Be blessed!

A pre-26 treat, 20 tickets to the movies, from Rev. Wynston Dixon of Toledo, Ohio. Saturday afternoon June 30, 2018, Mwenda and I took 17 children to see The Incredibles. They had a blast! Thanks a million Rev. Wynston Dixon and God Bless You!
