Another busy week at Ansar! 🎉
Here’s what’s coming up September 27 through October 3. From Quincy and Illini Shrine Clubs to Legion of Honor, Capitol City Shrine Club, and Ainad Pote’s Ball, there’s plenty happening throughout the week.
Take a look at the schedule and make plans to join us!
Every unit at Ansar Shrine plays a role in something bigger.
Rabbi Rob and the Legion of Honor prove that becoming a member isn't just about joining a group, it's about finding purpose, building real brotherhood, and being part of a mission that matters.
Curious what it's like to be part of a unit that runs on connection (and a little Star Wars)?
There's a place for you here.

What if one weekend could change your Masonic journey?
Ansar Shrine and the Valley of Springfield Scottish Rite are coming together for a special weekend featuring the Ansar Ceremonial and Scottish Rite Reunion.
Two traditions. One weekend of brotherhood.
Join us Saturday, October 24, at Ansar Temple in Springfield.
Be part of it. Secure your spot!
What if the people closest to you could be part of something bigger right alongside you?
For Kyle, being a Shriner isn't just about brotherhood. It's about knowing his wife and family support why he shows up.
They don't have to be at every event. They just have to believe in what it stands for.
Watch Kyle's story, then send us a message to learn how your family fits into Shrine life.

WITH THE ROUTE 66 MOTHER ROAD FESTIVAL COMING UP…
Ansar proudly remembers one of its own who helped pave the way.
FRANK T. SHEETS
Ansar Potentate • 1934
Frank T. Sheets began working for the Illinois State Highway Department as a teenager and rose to become the state’s chief highway engineer by age 30.
Under his leadership, Illinois built thousands of miles of hard-surfaced highways. He also oversaw the groundbreaking Bates Experimental Road near Springfield, where engineers tested pavement designs using heavily loaded Army trucks. The results influenced road construction throughout Illinois and across the country.
Sheets helped develop Illinois Route 4, much of which became the original Illinois alignment of Route 66. When Route 66 was established in 1926, Illinois’ portion was already fully paved - something most other states along the highway could not claim.
He also served on the five-member national committee that helped create America’s numbered highway system.
In 2008, Frank T. Sheets was inducted into the Illinois Route 66 Hall of Fame - an enduring recognition of the Ansar Shriner who helped build the Mother Road.

What an incredible night at Ansar!
Tonight’s stated meeting was dedicated to recognizing and celebrating our Masonic appendant bodies. We were honored to welcome Brothers representing every stage of the Masonic journey - from an Entered Apprentice to a District Deputy Grand Master.
Leadership from the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Grotto joined us as we celebrated the many organizations that make our Masonic family so special.
It was a powerful reminder that while we may wear different aprons, collars, and fezzes, we are all part of one brotherhood.
It was a great night to be a Central Illinois Mason!
Sometimes the biggest surprise is realizing how much opportunity is right in front of you.
Kyle shares what stood out most after joining Ansar, the depth of the organization, the variety of ways to get involved, and the strong sense of connection that comes with it.
