A quick reminder, this is a good time to review your withholdings and make sure you are having enough withheld. There is a withholding calculator on the IRS website to assist you just go to irs.gov
Many were surprised last year to find that there was not near enough being withheld causing some to owe or their refund was a lot less than expected.

The office is temporarily closed, we will be open January 13th looking forward to seeing all of you again.

Tax season has come to an end, we were glad to see so many returning faces as well as so many new faces this year. I am still in the office but our days and hours have changed, I am now open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am till 5 pm, then in June we will be here 1 day a week, so stay in touch with us here for the upcoming change in hours and day open.

Even though the filing deadline has passed that doesn't mean that you can't file a tax return. I file many returns each year after the deadline and help numerous clients with other tax issues and questions.

Every year I'll have several people tell me that you don't have to file for 3 years. We all know you must file a income tax return every year. I think most people have it confused with you have 3 years to claim a refund, after the 3 year period you will lose it so that is one very good reason to keep up with the filing of you income tax returns.

Remember, keep your documents safe. There is a lot of important information on the income tax return.
