Happy National Gymnastics Day!

Today we are celebrating with photos from the start of NMG to now. Many years of hard work and talent have built this unstoppable team, and there is no way better to celebrate than remembering those who paved the way for us.

LCDR Christopher Tam is a 2008 graduate of USNA.
Receiving awards in 2007 and 2008 for gymnastics.

The photo of him doing his handstand was in Hawaii, and the later photos feature his service related duties in Visakhapatnam, India.
LCDR Tam explained, “ The photos are from me running the PACOM Joint Exercise TIGER TRIUMPH 26 Final Planning Conference with our Indian partners, enhancing our strategic partnership and interoperability with Indian Armed Forces.”

NMG is excited to highlight another alumni, and the amazing things they are doing in the fleet.

LCDR Tam also related his gymnastics experience to his current duties saying, “I know I am not doing any gymnastics moves; but it takes great “flexibility” and administrative gymnastics to successfully plan and execute operations with India.”

Tom Belesimo is a 1987 graduate of USNA. He was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer and served 23.5 years active duty.

He was admitted to the USNA Hall of Fame for placing 1st in High Bar at EIGL in 1987.

Flat Bill visited Tom in the UK at the Maidenhead Golf Club while visiting his daughter. NMG is excited to highlight another alumni; stay tuned for who is up next!
