Pockets of heavy rain and thunder are moving along and north of I-72. There could be some standing water on the roads. Let us know if you have any reports of flooding or rain totals.
Scattered showers & storms continue to move across Central Illinois early this morning. Expect some of the wet weather to linger around throughout the morning and early afternoon. Severe weather isn't expected, but there is a slight risk for flash flooding.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until Sep 15 6:30PM for: McLean, Tazewell, Woodford county. Move indoors and stay away from windows. Large hail and/or damaging winds are possible.
It is heating up across Central Illinois. Heat index values are approaching 100. We are watching the band of broken showers. These showers could move towards the Illinois River, but it should still be at least a few more hours until storms start to move into the region.

Temperatures will return to the 90s this afternoon, and it will feel warmer due to some humidity. Heat index values will likely peak around 105 in some locations. We will begin to cool down when some showers & storms form or move into the area. The timing of when the storms will start could be as early as 3 pm but more likely around 7 pm. These storms will continue on & off through the evening, overnight, and Wednesday morning. We are not expecting severe weather, but an isolated strong wind gust cannot be ruled out. Rain totals will range from 1/4" to 1.50" through Wednesday.

I’ve been talking about it for months and it finally happened; I adopted two kittens over the weekend. This is Bella & Smokey, a brother sister 3 month old pair of kittens. I got them from The Cats' Pyjamas Cat Café in part with the Animal Protective League and they were the pair on our midday show last Friday.

Nice warm temperatures are expected today with highs in the mid-80s. A mix of clouds & sunshine will be in the area along with low humidity. Some showers & storms will be possible on Tuesday, most likely in the evening.
