If I only knew 20 years ago what this journey would really look like…
I probably would have been scared.
This weekend was one of those days.
We had two weddings to serve. One with 365 guests and another with 100+ guests while keeping the restaurant open and taking care of everyone who walked through our doors.
At one point, I honestly wondered, “Can we really pull this off?”
But then I looked around and saw our team.
They showed up. They worked hard. They sacrificed, adjusted, helped each other, and did whatever needed to be done.
And we did it.
Not perfectly. Not without exhaustion or stress. But together, we got it done.
That's the part of the restaurant industry people don't always see.
Behind every wedding, every meal, and every celebration are real people who get tired, miss family time, work weekends, and sometimes wonder if they have anything left to give.
But they show up anyway.
To our team: thank you. I see you, I appreciate you, and I'm incredibly proud of you.
And to everyone who continues to support Aztca, thank you for trusting us with your celebrations and allowing us to be part of your memories.
Twenty years ago, I couldn't have imagined all of this.
Today, I'm exhausted, grateful, humbled… and proud.
Sometimes you just have to show up, trust your people, give it everything you've got, and then take a moment to realize:
We did it. ❤️

What it takes.
It means showing up when you’re tired.
Putting the needs of others before your own.
Saying no to birthdays, anniversaries, vacations, and countless special moments so others can celebrate theirs.
That’s the sacrifice.
But what a privilege it is to be tired from doing something you once only dreamed about.
What a privilege it is to be part of someone else’s memories, traditions, and celebrations.
What a privilege it is to have the health and strength to keep showing up.
And above all, what a privilege it is that God has surrounded us with an incredible family, an amazing team, and a community that always has our backs.
Sometimes it takes sacrifice and humility to recognize just how blessed we are, especially on the days when it’s hardest to see.
To our team, our customers, and our family thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and standing beside us through it all.
And to Luka... thank you for spending part of your birthday helping at Aztca. There are many ways to celebrate, but choosing to serve others speaks volumes about the young man you’re becoming. Happy Birthday, son. We love you. ❤️
