Lynard Joiner Sr. is the founder and Chief Executive Director of Shifting Into-New Gear, a nonprofit organization that network with others reentry agencies to provide resource service to former prisoners to assist them in successful reenter society and reduce recidivism. Joiner is a former prisoner who served nearly two decade on a co***ne and crack co***ne conspiracy conviction. He is also an Author, Industry Chef, Life Consultant Teacher, motivational speaker, mentor and a self taught stage play writer and Events planner. He has done presentations for several schools ,colleges ,juvenile center ,Boys and Girls Clubs, churches and has appeared several time in local newspaper, on radio talk shows local and other states. Shifting Into-New Gear's mission is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and reduce recidivism by providing and connecting former prisoners with resources that will address their issues.
