"Theo of Golden" by Allen Levi is a touching, peaceful escape about kindness and human connection. A copy of the book has been passed around Peace for several weeks, and all agree it’s a lovely reading experience. We encourage you to read it for the ache of being noticed the way Theo notices people!
The book is available in our Peace Lutheran Church Library, as well as local libraries. It also is available for purchase in hardback, paperback, digital and audio formats online and in local stores.
Please read "Theo of Golden" and then join us in the church library at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at as share thoughts about the book and author. All are welcome!

Thank you to all who made and served dinner with Helping Hands of Springfield this weekend as we fed our neighbors and celebrated God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday.

Evangelism is BACK!
And we’re calling it the Evangelism Support Committee — because sharing the good news of what Jesus is doing in our lives, in the world and at Peace are things all of us can do! If you’d like to support our community of disciples in this way, tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 20) is the deadline to turn in your Time and Talent Survey so we can get you connected.
Maybe a better question is what *doesn’t* Peace’s Community Service Committee do?
We try to love and serve our neighbors well, just as Jesus taught us. Come join us—whether it’s donating, volunteering or serving on the Community Service Committee. Turn in your Time and Talent Survey by Sunday (Sept. 20) so we can get you connected!
There’s a reason we call them the fun committee!
If you like to be where the food and fun are, Peace’s Fellowship Committee is for you.
It’s the final countdown to turn in your Time and Talents Survey. We’ll be blessing the surveys this Sunday (Sept. 20) and getting you connected with those places where your interests and gifts connect with our community of disciples.

We ❤ our community!
Happy Rally Day! It is so good to be back together with our church family and neighbors after a busy summer. We celebrated the end of summer and the beginning of another Faith Formation year this weekend with a Family Fun Day that included food trucks, face painting, a bounce house, balloon animals, games and lots of fun with friends new and old.
Thank you to all who volunteered and all who came out to celebrate with us — you are always welcome at Peace. And thanks be to God for the gift of community!
