🌟 LifeWise Staff & Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

School may be out for the summer, but the dedicated staff and volunteers of LifeWise Academy Clark-Shawnee are still hard at work preparing for another wonderful school year this fall!

Over the next several weeks, we are excited to introduce you to some of the amazing people who give their time, talents, and hearts to make LifeWise possible for the students of our community.

For our very first Staff & Volunteer Spotlight, we are honored to introduce our Program Director, Mitzi Monroe.

Mitzi has been involved with LifeWise for three years—first serving as a volunteer and now completing her second year as Program Director. Her love for the students and her desire to help them understand God’s love are at the heart of everything she does.

When she is not serving with LifeWise, Mitzi enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, reading, and being with friends. She is a tea drinker, loves Chinese food, and says Texas Roadhouse is probably her favorite restaurant.

A Scripture that encourages Mitzi is 2 Corinthians 5:17:

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come.”

When asked which Bible character she would most like to have dinner with, Mitzi had a difficult time choosing! Jesus would be first, of course, but she would also love to talk with Noah’s wife about life on the ark, hear from Esther about her courage, and visit with Mary about the joys, stresses, and sorrows of being Jesus’ mother.

Most importantly, Mitzi wants people to understand that LifeWise is about so much more than teaching Bible stories and character qualities:

“LifeWise is showing students that God loves them, cares about them, and gives purpose and meaning to their lives. He gives meaning and direction in a world that has few absolutes and very little peace.”

Thank you, Mitzi, for your leadership, your faithful service, and the love you show to the students and families of our community. We are blessed to have you leading LifeWise Academy Clark-Shawnee!
