Bobby J. Williams

Bobby J. Williams passed away on July 22, 2026. He was born April 12, 1967 in Springfield, Missouri to William Williams and Lefa Dohle.

In 1985 he met the love of his life, Tanna. They wed on June 13, 1986 and went on to have five beautiful daughters.

One of Bobby's biggest goals was to become a licensed electrician and through hard work and long nights he achieved that goal. He went on to spend many years working with Smith Broadcasting as an Installation Specialist.

Bobby spent his life dedicated to his family. He spent many years coaching his girls through softball and bowling and if he wasn't coaching on the field you could always find him in the stands as their biggest supporter.

As the girls grew up they gave him more athletes to support in the 15 grandchildren. Whether it was baseball, football, cheerleading, archery, or dance, he was always cheering them on.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Williams (Beverly) and Lefa Dohle (Raymond). Brothers Roiyce Williams, Ronald Williams, and William Williams

He is survived by his loving wife Tanna Williams, daughters Amber Tenay (Brandon), Brandy Hamrick, Cara Gruenewald (Bobby), Rebecca Leist, and Rachel Williams. Brother Mike Williams, sisters Karen Casteel and Teresa Creason, as well as his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am Friday July 31, 2026 at Herman H Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E Walnut Street with a graveside dedication at Patterson Cemetery to follow.

Velma Kay Robertson

Velma Kay Robertson, 71, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026.

Born in Trenton, Michigan, on March 27, 1955, Velma lived a life defined by her deep love for her family and her unwavering dedication to helping others.

Velma spent 49 years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), earning a reputation as the absolute best in her field. Her compassion, skill, and tireless work ethic touched the lives of countless patients and families, leaving an unforgettable mark on her community.

Above all else, Velma was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life’s greatest joy was her family. She loved reading, bowling, playing cards, and simply spending time with the people she loved most, creating a legacy of warmth, strength, and unconditional love.

She is survived by her four loving daughters, Kathy Jo Lawson, Jennifer Padilla, Carla Gillespie, and Darlenea Evans. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Ames, as well as her 15 cherished grandchildren and 26 adored great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private ceremony for close friends and family will be held this Saturday to honor her incredible memory and the lasting impact she made on the world.

Josiah Davisson Daugherty

Josiah Davisson Daugherty was born November 21, 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Martha and Davis Daugherty. He heartbreakingly left us on July 13th, 2026. Josiah was a father, husband, marine corps veteran, law enforcement officer, friend, and protector. Josiah has three children, Holly (Annie Pike), Lincoln, and Amelia (Hannah Daugherty). His brothers are Joel, Javan and John Daugherty.

Josiah graduated from Glendale High School and subsequently attended Moody Bible College before joining the Marine Corps. Josiah was part of 3/7 Kilo and his time in the marine corps included two tours to Ramadi. After being honorably discharged, Josiah attended the police academy and became a Nixa Police officer. He made an incredible difference to those in need or crisis during his time there. Josiah achieved his bachelors degree in psychology in 2014 from Drury University.

In 2021, Josiah began working for Nixa Public Schools as a School Police Officer at Summit and High Pointe Elementary. His new role allowed him to build lasting meaningful relationships with students and their families.

Josiah married his first wife, Annie in 2007 and together they had their first born, Holly. They stayed married until 2014. Later that year, Josiah met his current wife, Hannah. Hannah and Josiah had their son, Lincoln, in 2017. They married in 2019 in Springfield, Missouri. They had their daughter, Amelia, in 2021. Josiah, Annie, and Hannah worked together to coparent their three children and set an example for all others. Their love for all three children was felt by those who were near.

Josiah and Hannah were best friends. There was never a moment that they doubted they loved each other. His absence will be devastating.

Josiah loved fishing, hunting, yoga, kayaking, visiting his best friend, Tim, in Montana, and being outside. Josiah had many hobbies, including chess, stealing pieces of the kids food and calling it, “dad tax”, and reading whatever book he could get his hands on. Josiah loved to cook, spend time in the garden, and being with his children.

The loss of Josiah will be felt forever.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday July 17, 2026 at Union Hill Church 865 N. Nicholas Road Nixa, MO under the care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home.

Anne Emily Blades

Anne Emily Blades died peacefully in her home after a long illness. She was born in Springfield, Missouri, on June 9, 1968, and lived there most of her life. She was a voracious reader and had an incredible memory for details. She loved trivia games and was always the winner of the family games at Christmas. She was a thoughtful gift giver who never forgot a special occasion. She loved animals more than anything and worked as a veterinary technician for several years.

Anne was was preceded in death by her father, Ross Dees Blades, M.D. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Thomas Blades; her sisters and bothers-in-law, Sally and Tim Weir, and Molly and Bill Robb; her nieces Maddie and Emily Robb; her Aunt Gertrude and Uncle David Thomas; and her cousin Cindy Zavala.

There will be no memorial service at Anne’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, via their website. Our family wishes to thank friends, neighbors and the Daughters of St. Francis of DeSales for their kindness and support of “Annie B.”

Tracy "Alan" Spencer

We are deeply saddened to share the loss of Alan Spencer, 63, on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 in Springfield Missouri. Leaving behind beautiful memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

Alan was born to Leo and Lou Spencer in Battle Creek, Michigan who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Spencer; two daughters, Amy Aguirre (Spencer) and Bethany Spencer; granddaughter Emma Aguirre; two sons in law, Luis Aguirre and David McBroom; two brothers Curtis Spencer and Gary Spencer.

Alan served in the United States Army from 1981-1995. He was a devoted Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Alan did extensive work in the Alcoholics Anonymous organization, supporting and helping others. He loved hiking, exploring, road trips, camping and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, his dogs and especially loved the adventures and time he had with his granddaughter. Alan will be deeply missed by many.

As we say our final farewell to Alan, please join us for a memorial service honoring Alan’s life on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10 am at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.

Kenneth Steve Sifferman

Kenneth Steve "Kenny" Sifferman, 78, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, following an unexpected severe reaction two weeks after his first immunotherapy treatment for lung cancer. An exceptionally tough human and a notoriously hard worker, Kenny lived his life with an unstoppable work ethic and a deep, genuine joy for every single day.

Kenny was born in Springfield, Missouri, on October 5, 1947. He grew up on a farm in Mt. Vernon Missouri and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School with the Class of 1965, later earning his Associate Degree in electronics.On December 26, 1970, Kenny was united in marriage to the absolute love of his life, Sharon Lechner. Together, they shared 55 beautiful years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, dedication, and family, and raising their two daughters, Tracy and Shelly.

Kenneth was a lifelong Christian whose life was defined by a profound love for the Lord. As a devout Catholic, he found great joy and strength in his faith, the sacraments, and the church community. Kenny’s work ethic was unmatched. He gave 28 dedicated years to Zenith and later retired from his career as a biomedical technician for the Cox Health System. But Kenny never truly stopped working. Whether tending to his family farm, taking on endless odd jobs, or volunteering his time, he was always on the move. He constantly found ways to stay busy, dedicating his endless energy to providing for the people he loved.To say Kenneth LOVED his LIFE would be an understatement. He found absolute happiness in the world around him. He loved traveling, especially hitting the open road in his RV, embarking on cruises with his friends, and taking unforgettable trips with his brothers and daughters. He cherished the time spent with his friends in the valley, but he was equally content just sitting on his deck, looking out over the open fields, and counting the deer.

A man of many passions, Kenny loved playing cards and games, and his sharp mind made him excellent at trivia. He enjoyed catching ball games, attending concerts, farming, tilling the land, and hunting for treasures at garage sales, swap meets, and buying and selling markets. Above all, Kenny was a master storyteller who loved nothing more than sharing his rich life experiences with anyone lucky enough to listen. His family, especially his grand children and great-grandchildren were his ultimate pride and joy.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruby Sifferman, his sister-in-law, Christine Sifferman, and many dear friends.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon Sifferman; his devoted children, Tracy Voyles and her husband Mark, and Shelly Kitchen and her husband Chris; his cherished grandchildren, Kyleigh Voyles and Stephen Michalsen, Jaxon Voyles, and his wife Courtney; and his precious great-grandchildren, Sophie Voyles and Oliver Voyles. He (9) also leaves behind his brothers, Roger Sifferman (6), and Scott Sifferman (3) and his wife Debbie, alongside numerous beloved nieces, nephews, a lifetime of wonderful friends, and his little dog Freddie.

Memorial Services

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 1115 N. Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO 65802 under the care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Directly following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to a visitation and lunch in the church school auditorium to eat, share stories, and celebrate Kenny’s remarkable life.

Barry L. Blount, of Humansville, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 61. Barry was born on Tuesday, April 13, 1965, in Springfield, Missouri.

Barry is preceeded in death by his parents, William and Donna (Jernigan) Blount.

He is survived by his son, William Blount, many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, other extended family and friends.

Cherlita Gillson, age 79, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away July 6, 2026.

Our funeral home is trying to find any family members that are related to the decedent. The deceased has passed away with no information as to the where-abouts of any family members or loved ones at this time. It has been requested that our funeral home try and locate any family members that may still be living that would be willing to step forwards and take responsibility for the deceased.

Our funeral home has been given authorization per the Greene County Medical Examiner’s Office, to try and locate anyone related to the deceased. Upon locating any relative of the decedent, we reserve the right to remove this notice from our website.
