We’re officially less than ONE MONTH away from celebrating the 10th Anniversary of this community favorite!

September is Hunger Action Month. 💚

Hunger is a challenge we can solve—but only when we work together.

Every day, Rachel's Table rescues fresh, nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste and delivers it to more than 70 partner agencies across Western Massachusetts. We also grow food, glean at local farms, and support communities in building long-term food security.

Whether you volunteer, donate, advocate, or simply help spread awareness, your actions make a difference.

Because when we work together, we reduce waste, relieve hunger, and strengthen our community.

📢 Heads up for anyone who receives EBT benefits! Massachusetts is rolling out new chip and tap enabled EBT cards to all clients throughout August, and there are a few things worth knowing.

The new cards are being mailed out automatically, so no need to visit a DTA office or call ahead. When yours arrives, activate it as soon as possible (do not wait!) either by using it to make a purchase or by calling to change your PIN. Your PIN will stay the same (unless you make a call to change it) and once activated your old card will deactivate itself. You have 60 days before your old card deactivates automatically.

Haven't gotten your new card in the mail yet? Cards are still going out, so no need to worry. If you ever need a replacement or have questions, you can request one through DTAConnect, by calling EBT Customer Service at 800-997-2555, or by visiting your local DTA office.

Also worth knowing: if the chip or tap option doesn't work at checkout right away, try inserting or tapping a couple of times. Some retailers are still updating their systems, so a fallback to the magnetic stripe is normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong with your card.
