A huge thank you to Rock Hills Youth Group from Manhattan, Kansas, for spending last week with us! πŸ’™

This team jumped right in and helped knock out several projects on our list, served alongside our programs, spent time with our community partners, and brought so much energy and encouragement to every space they entered.

One of the greatest parts of local missions is seeing students discover that serving isn’t just something we do on a trip. It’s a way of life. These friends showed up with willing hearts and a desire to make an impact, reminding us that opportunities to serve can be found wherever we are.

Rock Hills, thank you for bringing your time, talents, and servant hearts to Springfield last week. We’re grateful for the impact you made, the relationships you built, and the joy you brought to our community. We’re cheering you on as you continue to serve and make a difference wherever you go!

β˜€οΈ Dream Center Academy: Summer Camp Recap β˜€οΈ

What a summer it has been!

While Dream Center Academy operates throughout the school year, spring and summer give us the opportunity to create experiences our students will never forget. This year, our students rode horses, practiced archery, explored the art of theater, and made countless memories along the way.

But summer camp is about so much more than fun. Every activity is an opportunity to practice teamwork, build confidence, and strengthen the social and emotional skills they work so hard to grow throughout the year.

When you become a DCA Hero, you're doing more than providing school supplies or supporting a program. You're creating moments that help children discover who they are, what they're capable of, and that they are deeply loved.

Because of your generosity, you've already raised $8,380 toward the $20,000 goal to launch the new school year strong. And 76 incredible volunteers have already signed up to serve next week as we prepare classrooms to welcome students back!

There's still time to join the mission. Every gift brings us one step closer to giving 62 students a place where they are known, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

🦸 Become a DCA Hero today and help us make this our strongest school year yet.

April, our DCA Assistant Director, shared this sweet moment recently:

"On Monday, he came up to me with the biggest smile and asked, 'Miss April... do you love me so much?' I smiled and said, 'Yes, I love you so very much!' He immediately wrapped me in the sweetest side hug a preschooler could ever give."

Children thrive when they know they're seen, safe, and loved.

That's why DCA invests, not just in them, but so intentionally in the ones who lead it. Through trauma-informed training and relationship-centered care, they're equipped to recognize the needs behind a child's behavior, build trust, and create an environment where every student can experience belonging and hope.

When you become a DCA Hero, you're not just supporting a program- you're investing in the caring adults who show up every day to remind children they matter.

Because sometimes the most important thing a child learns isn't from a lesson- it's that they are loved. Become a DCA Hero today! Links to get involved are in the comments!

Some of the most important moments don't happen in a classroom. They happen on a playground, during a conversation, or after a game of kickball.

One of our teachers recently shared this story:

"These past few weeks, we have seen one of our students struggling. He has just seemed really down and quiet, not like his usual self. But this week, we saw him show glimmers of happiness again. On our park day, his eyes got real big when we mentioned the word "kickball." Every Sunday, he plays in a kickball league, and on this particular park day we decided to play. He laughed, chose kind words, and eventually fell to the ground in exhaustion after playing a few innings. He continued to open up that week in conversation and you could see some joy come back to his disposition. Simple fun activities can be conduits of hope for a student who may have a lot of social pressures at school or struggling with friendships."

This is why your support matters.

When you give to Dream Center Academy, you're not just funding an after-school program. You're creating spaces where kids are known, encouraged, and given opportunities to rediscover joy. Sometimes hope looks like a caring adult. Sometimes it looks like a safe place to belong. And sometimes... it looks like a game of kickball."

Every gift helps us continue creating moments like these for the students who need them most.

Become a DCA Hero today through your time or treasure; together, we can make sure every child has a place where hope can grow.

We're wrapping up week two of DCA Summer Camp, and it's been a joy to watch students embrace every opportunity this season has brought.

Whether they're learning something new, exploring a new place, or simply spending time together, these moments are helping kids build friendships, grow in confidence, and make lasting memories.

Here's a look at what they've been up to so far β˜€οΈ

Volunteer of the Month: Nathan 🌟

If you've spent any time at the Dream Center, chances are you've met Nathan! He's here nearly every week, helping around the building, jumping into programs, and always ready to lend a hand wherever he's needed.

Nathan knows no stranger. He welcomes everyone with a smile, keeps us laughing with his playful sense of humor, and somehow remembers birthdays better than the rest of us. He's also a huge country music fan, so don't be surprised if you catch him singing along or dancing when a good song comes on!

We're so thankful for everything Nathan brings to the Dream Center. His kindness, joy, and willingness to help make a lasting impact on our staff, volunteers, and the families we serve.

A special thank you to Holt Homes Group for sponsoring our Volunteer of the Month and helping us celebrate incredible volunteers like Nathan.

Are you ready to be a DCA hero?!

07/13/2026

Pretty soon, the doors of Dream Center Academy will open for another school year. There will be backpacks dropped by the door, laughter echoing through the hallways, snacks shared with friends, and a community of teachers ready to pour into students.

Some kids will walk in excited to see familiar faces.

Others will come carrying worries they don't know how to put into words.

Every one of them will find a place where they're known, encouraged, and loved.

That's what Dream Center Academy is all about.

Every afternoon, students from preschool through high school find more than just a place to go after school. They build healthy relationships, learn to navigate life's big emotions, and grow in confidence.

As we get ready to welcome them back, we're inviting you to become DCA Heroes. Over the next four weeks, we'll introduce you to the students, teachers, and moments that make this place so special. We want you to be part of it!

There are two ways to become a DCA Hero this year: give, serve, or maybe even both.
Link to get involved is in the comments!

Together, we can help make sure every student walks through our doors knowing they have a community standing behind them.

✨ The Village is growing... and we couldn't be more grateful. πŸ’›

When we launched The Village in February, we welcomed 14 adults and 23 children. Just a few months later, we're serving 28 adults and 47 children. This is an incredible 103% increase in participation from February till now!

What started as a dream has become a place where families find community, encouragement, practical support, and hope.

As our Village continues to grow, so does our need for people who are willing to serve.

Whether you can:
πŸ’™ Hold a baby so a mom can participate
πŸ’™ Play with toddlers
πŸ’™ Welcome families with a smile
..there's a place for you.

If you've been looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of local families, we'd love to have you join us. Together, we can continue creating a place where every mom feels seen, supported, and never alone.
