๐ŸŒณ Weatherization Tip Wednesday!

Trim shrubs and trees around your outdoor AC unit!

Give your unit at least 2 feet of clearance on all sides.
Overgrown greenery blocks airflow, forces your system to work harder, and can drive up your energy bill.

A quick trim now = better efficiency and lower costs all season long. ๐Ÿ’จ

Today's Air Quality Alert for Springfield, MA ๐Ÿšจ
Wildfire smoke is causing unhealthy air quality across Western Massachusetts today. If you're noticing hazy skies or smelling smoke, Here are some ways to protect the air inside your home.

๐Ÿก Weatherization Tip:

Keep windows and doors closed as much as possible.
If you have air conditioning, set it to recirculate to help keep smoky air outside.
Replace dirty HVAC or furnace filters so your system can better trap fine particles.
Seal air leaks around windows and doors to help prevent outdoor pollutants from entering your home.
If you have asthma, COPD, or other respiratory conditions, limit time outdoors until air quality improves.
A weatherized home doesn't just save energy. It also helps create a healthier indoor environment when outdoor air quality takes a turn for the worse.
