Emmanuel Christian Academy is seeking two dependable individuals to assist with our after-school programs. We are looking for team-oriented candidates who have some scheduling flexibility and enjoy working with students.

Lions Den – Elementary After-School Program (Grades K–6): Lions Den provides after-school care for our elementary students until 5:30 p.m. Approximately 5-8 hours per week.

Guided Study – Secondary After-School Supervision (Grades 7–12): Guided Study provides supervision for students who are waiting to be picked up or are waiting for practice to begin. The program runs until 5:30 p.m., though students are sometimes picked up earlier. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for approximately 6–8 hours per week

Both positions offer an opportunity to support our students and work alongside our current after-school staff in a collaborative environment.

The Spirit Wear Store for the 2026-27 school year is NOW OPEN! Families will be able to place orders until 11:59 PM on August 2nd. All orders placed by this deadline will be available for pick up at Open House on August 17th.

After the initial store closes it will reopen on August 3rd for the entire 2026-27 school year for families to order spirit wear. All orders will be delivered to the school. Please allow up to two weeks from the date of your order.

This year's store includes the spirit shirt with the Abide theme as well as three different designs that can be found on different colors of apparel.

ECA Families! The ECA Bowling Summer Camp will be held July 21-23 at Victory Lanes from 4-6pm. This camp is open to all 3rd - 12th graders and the cost is $65 per bowler.

The camp will cover the fundamentals of bowling, as well as spare shooting techniques and targeting drills. The camp will culminate with a standardized match with the campers put into teams to compete against each other.

Please join us in welcoming Chris James as the new Executive Director / Head of School of Emmanuel Christian Academy!

Chris officially begins serving at ECA today, and we are excited for our Emmanuel family and community to get to know him a little better!

A little about Chris and his family:
He and his wife, Adrienne, have been married for 31 years. High school sweethearts originally from Columbus, they moved to Clark County 19 years ago and now live in South Vienna. Together they raised six children — Chandler (30), Paris (28), Darienne (27), Cameron (23), Jaidan (21), and Luke (18) — and are now enjoying this new season of life as their family has grown and spread out across several states.

What hobbies or other interests does he enjoy?
Chris loves spending as much time as possible with family, traveling for new adventures, and enjoying all things sports, especially cheering on the Buckeyes and Volunteers! He also enjoys golf, tennis, basketball, home projects, reading, movies at home, and even truly loves mowing the grass!

What is a favorite family tradition:
For nearly 20 years, Sundays have always been family days beginning with church, then traveling to the grandparents' homes with pizzas for the kids to spend time with them, as well as with their uncle, aunt, and cousins.

Something you might be surprised to learn about Chris:
He met his wife when she was in 6th grade!

A passage of Scripture Chris turns to for encouragement:
Chris shared that when he beats himself up for falling short as a Christian man, he is encouraged by Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

We are grateful the Lord has led Chris to Emmanuel, and we look forward to the leadership, care, and Christ-centered vision he will bring to our school community.
