We do have a couple of chances for showers and thunderstorms, but nothing is looking very impressive for severe weather at this point.
We're watching another cold front moving in from the Northern Plains, and it looks like it will spark some very isolated thunderstorms on Friday evening.

With the isolated storms expected late Friday evening, there is also an extremely low-end severe weather threat. The Storm Prediction Center has some of Central Illinois under a Level 1 risk. If severe storms do develop, they could potentially bring damaging winds up to 60 MPH along with some hail.
The storms developing ahead of the cold front will be very isolated. We don't expect a widespread storm or rain event, but storms will also bring some brief heavy rain.

We're watching another cold front coming in from the Northern Plains on Friday. While we will enjoy calm and mild conditions throughout much of the day, this front does look like it will spark some very isolated thunderstorms on Friday evening.
Our hope is that it will hold off until after our Friday night football games have wrapped up. I think we'll see it push through Lincoln, Peoria, and Bloomington closer to 9pm, and then the Springfield and Decatur areas closer to 10pm.
