Newington Forest Elementary

A special start to the school year! 🎉 FCPS Superintendent Dr. Reid visited our classrooms to see learning in action and to welcome Global Teacher, Mr. Thorpe, to FCPS. We’re off to a fantastic beginning!

Students can invite one special person in their life to join them for a donut and an extra sweet time before school.

Newington Forest will celebrate a love of reading through our Read Across America celebration days. Each day has a theme to encourage reading both at home and school. Please see the attached flyer for our theme days.

Join us Monday, March 23, from 6:30–8:00 pm for an interactive evening at Newington Forest Elementary, where K–6 students and families learn and explore grade-level curriculum together through hands-on stations, Make & Take activities, and practical tips for supporting learning at home and preparing for SOLs and assessments.

What an amazing start to the new school year! From the lively open house to the conclusion of our first week, our knights are embarking on an unforgettable journey filled with promise and enthusiasm.
