Springfield Lutheran School

It's time to order your SLS 2026-2027 school theme shirts! We prefer that SLS students to wear these shirts on field trips for safety purposes, but all friends and family of SLS are welcome to order shirts as well. We offer sizes youth small through adult 3XL.

Cost is $10 a shirt. You can choose to have your school account charged for the shirt, or can select to pay at pick up. We have a limited number of 2XL and 3XL shirts, so order yours right away.

You may not have heard the bittersweet news that has happened over the summer. Redeemer's Director of Youth Ministry, Hannah Hayden, has followed God's Calling in her life and has accepted a new leadership role at a church in Centennial, Colorado. We are excited for Hannah to bless new students and families, and know she will do an incredible job pointing people to Christ in Colorado. We are, of course, so sad to see our friend go and sad that the move has to take place before school begins.

Redeemer will be hosting a farewell luncheon for Hannah on Sunday, August 9th at 12:30 p.m. in the SLS gym. You are welcome to join us as we celebrate Hannah's time in Springfield and send her off to Colorado with our love and prayers. If you cannot attend and want your child to have the opportunity to tell her goodbye, we can make sure she gets any notes or cards your child may want to send.

SLS families...check your email! The mega BACK TO SCHOOL email went out today with supply lists, calendars, t-shirt order form, and lots of great information. The original email went out with two errors in it. We have resent the email as the CORRECTED Back to School email. Clearly Ms. Cole needs to get back to school - Summer Brain is hitting hard! Apologies for any confusion!

Exciting Announcement... Introducing Thunder Thrift! ⚡

Behind the scenes, Springfield Lutheran High School has been hard at work preparing for the launch of Thunder Thrift—a new thrift store that will support the mission of SLHS while serving our Springfield community!

Thrift store ministries like this have been incredibly successful at Lutheran high schools across the country, providing sustainable support for Christian education while extending the school's Christ-centered mission into the community.

🚧 We're not quite ready to open for shopping yet... but we ARE ready to start accepting donations!

Springfield Lutheran School is excited to share two new additions to our
full-time faculty and staff for the 2026-2027 school year.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Janessa Redman to the SLS teaching staff. Mrs. Redman will be the middle school English/Language Arts teacher for all middle school grades. She will also be the 6th grade home room and religion teacher, as well as teaching Middle School Math I. Mrs. Redman is a former public school educator who stepped out of the public school classroom to homeschool her children through high school. During that time she remained active in the classroom as a middle school and high school substitute teacher for both Springfield Public Schools and the Republic Middle and High School.

Please also join us in welcoming Mrs. Amanda Ingle to the SLS school office. Mrs. Ingle will be serving as the full-time SLS Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Ingle comes to SLS with experience in both non-profit ministries and medical support and a passion for Christian ministry.

Both Mrs. Redman and Mrs. Ingle are Christ-centered, dedicated, and qualified individuals who will be a huge blessing to the ministry of Springfield Lutheran School. We are excited to have them join our team!

As the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close, we just want to take a moment to thank our SLS students, faculty, staff, supporters and friends. It has been a joy to partner together this year to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, and we are truly grateful for His goodness and mercy. Your support and encouragement makes this ministry possible, and we thank God for each of you.
