🍁🍁🍁 Fall Festival is this Friday! And we need your help to make the magic happen! 🍁🍁🍁

Join us on Friday, October 2nd from 5:15-7:15pm for the Fall Carnival. This event is free to the Hunt Valley community. Please keep in mind that this is not a drop off event. Students must be accompanied by an adult. We are still in need of volunteers. Please consider spending a little bit of your Friday helping us create this fun event for our Hawks! ***Links are in the comments ***

Help your Hawk win a class pizza party! We've been tallying up your PTA membership sign ups and here are the current standings! Keep in mind:
🔵 Each individual membership counts in the tally, even if you're from the same household.
🔵 You've got more than one Hawk and so you listed more than one teacher name? They all get counted towards class totals!
🔵 Teacher PTA memberships count in the tally
🔵 Contest closes on October 16th
🔵 ***New*** New this year are our "Community" memberships! Extended family, neighbors, sports coach or any school supporter wants to sign up to bolster PTA's initiatives and enrichments? Remind them to fill out the field about which classroom they're supporting when they sign up!

Save the date! The West Springfield Pyramid Challenge is a FREE fun run that was started years ago with the goal of introducing cross-country running, encouraging community involvement, and fostering school spirit among the elementary schools of the West Springfield Pyramid. Students from the participating elementary schools will run a half-mile or one-mile course, depending on their grade level. The event also includes a unified heat with an accessible 200-meter course for students with physical and cognitive disabilities. The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, November 14 from 10am-12pm at Irving Middle School.  Advance registration is required and will open soon!

🥳THANK YOU Hunt Valley community for supporting our Spirit Night at the Springfield Chick-fil-A! We earned $246.80 for our PTA from this event! 🥳

📚 Book Fair Update! 📚

Hawks with Thursday or Friday buying days, please check your e-wallet to make sure the selected school is "Hunt Valley Elementary School (Fall)".

We had an issue this morning with many e-wallets being under another school's name, even if ours was originally selected. The glitch has been fixed with our vendor but a second check from our Hawk grown ups would be helpful to the Book Fair volunteers!

A printed copy of the e-wallet always works best, if you're able to print!

- Thursday: 9:30am - 10:50am
- Thursday: 11am - 12:20pm

📚 Don’t forget to come shop with your family during Family Shopping Hour this Thursday, 4:30–6:00 PM!

📚 Teachers have filled out their classroom wish lists! Please consider gifting a teacher a book for their classroom. If you can't purchase your gift at the after school shopping hour on Thursday, email [email protected] and I'll help coordinate your transaction, of any size. (Please email before noon Friday)

Update: they are trying to fix the app problem. You can order in person with no issues. If you need to use the app, please ask them when you arrive to print your receipt and give it to the manager for our event. She is aware of the issue.

If you are trying to order from Chick-fil-A: we have heard that the community event toggle is not turned on in-app. I have sent an email and will go ask in person. Please ask when you are picking up your food so your receipt can be added to our event! Thank you!
