Intensive Reading Interventions

Angelique received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University in 1999 and a Masters degree in Special Education from Missouri State University in 2005. She taught in the public school district before leaving to work under a neuropsychologist. After developing her vision for a better service model for children and their families, Angelique opened Intensive Reading Interventions in 2005. She has spent the last decade expanding her knowledge of the neurological underpinnings of learning difficulty and effective, research-based methods to bring improvement. Intensive Reading Interventions serves the needs of families with children struggling with any aspect of learning. Specific standardized testing is used to design a neurologically based program of intervention that is tailored to each child's needs. Children from birth through young adulthood dealing with everything from autism, Asperger's, developmental delays, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, sensory integration disorder, cerebral palsy, learning disability, TBI, ADD/ADHD, visual perception problems, retained primitive reflexes and many other areas of need are served. Angelique believes that much about our modern culture and modern methods of schooling has put every child at a disadvantage. Angelique works to guide families as they restore knowledge of the lost methods of living and learning such as classical education, classical physical education, primitive reflexes, neurotraining methods and, above all, the foundation of the family as the child's support and training network.
