NATIONAL GIRLS MINISTRIES WEEK | DAY 7 🤍

SURRENDER IT TO GOD.

As we come to the end of National Girls Ministries Week, take a moment to slow down and give your worries, plans, and fears to God.

Sometimes trusting God means letting go of the things we want to control and choosing to believe that His plans, His timing, and His presence are enough.

Reflect on the ways God has been faithful in the past. Remember the moments He provided, answered, strengthened, guided, and carried you. The same God who was faithful then is faithful now.

YOUR CHALLENGE:
✨ Pray for a heart that fully trusts God, even when life feels uncertain or difficult.
✨ Ask Him to help you surrender control and rely on His guidance and timing.
✨ Reflect on one way God has been faithful to you and thank Him for being present in every season.
✨ Let go of one worry today by praying about it, writing it down, or reading Scripture that reminds you of God’s faithfulness.

You don’t have to know what tomorrow holds to trust the One who does.

Release what you can’t control. Trust His timing. Rest in His faithfulness. 🤍

What is one thing you’re choosing to surrender to God today?

National Girls Ministries seeks to strengthen the faith and spiritual growth of girls by giving them helpful and tangible tools of discipleship. We can’t do this without women stepping out in faith and being bold in their communities to reach the girls in their world!

One way we’re seeing this done in our community of Springfield, MO is through Freedom Nights. Emily VanderMolen and Shauna Price, former National Girls Ministries staff, created 4 nights of worship each weekend in September for high school and young adult girls in our area. God’s Spirit has been working in girls’ lives, strengthening them to be all that they are called to be in His Kingdom!

If you know a high school girl in the Springfield area who would like to attend, the details are below for the final two nights:

BE BOLD WITH YOUR FAITH.

Sharing your faith doesn’t always mean having all the right words. Sometimes, it looks like an invitation, an encouraging message, a Bible verse, or simply choosing to reflect the love of Jesus in the way you live.

Today, pray for boldness to share your faith and the love of Jesus with others. Ask God to help you speak with kindness, confidence, and courage when opportunities arise to encourage someone or talk about your faith.

Pray for your friends, classmates, teammates, and others who may not know Jesus yet. Ask God to open doors for meaningful conversations and give you the courage to walk through them.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

✨ Encourage someone, invite them to church or Girls Ministries, or share a Bible verse that has encouraged you this week.

PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.

God has placed people in our lives who lead, teach, encourage, and help us become who He created us to be. Today, take a moment to thank God for those people, and pray for them.

Lift up your pastors, teachers, Girls Ministries leaders, coaches, and mentors. Ask God to give them wisdom, strength, and encouragement as they lead and serve others.

Then, pray for your community. Ask God to grow it in kindness, unity, and faith. Pray that He would use you to make a difference, not only through what you say, but through the way you treat, encourage, and lead others.

YOUR CHALLENGE:
✨ Pray for a pastor, teacher, Girls Ministries leader, coach, or mentor.
✨ Ask God to give them wisdom, strength, and encouragement.
✨ Pray for your community to grow in kindness, unity, and faith.
✨ Thank or encourage a leader today with a note, text, or simple act of kindness.

You don’t have to have a title to be a leader. You can lead by example right where you are.

CALLING ALL PRAYING WOMEN!

Let’s UNITE and cover our students in prayer as they participate in SEE YOU AT THE POLE on Wednesday, September 23!

There are SO many ways you can stand with them:

🙏 Pray for students that morning ~ wherever you are ~ as they courageously make a stand for Christ.

🏫 Walk around the school the day or night before and pray over the students, teachers, staff, and campus.

🤝 Gather with other women, your church, or a group of friends for a special time of prayer.

🕊️ And remember, the altar is wherever you have the opportunity to pray!

We’re calling this initiative SEE YOU AT THE ALTAR, because we believe there is power when women come together and PRAY whether in person or in heart!

Put it on your calendar and set a reminder.

Let’s surround our students with prayer and believe God to move in their schools, their lives, and their communities.

PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.

Faith isn’t meant to be lived alone. Today, take time to lift up the people God has placed in your life: your friends, your family, and people around the world who are sharing the hope of Jesus.

Pray for the people you love. Ask God to strengthen them, encourage them, and guide them in every area of their lives. Pray for their needs, their struggles, and most importantly, their relationship with Him.

Then, take your prayers beyond your circle. Spend time praying for missionaries around the world as they share the hope of Jesus. Ask God to protect them, provide for them, and give them boldness as they minister to others.

YOUR CHALLENGE:
✨ Pray for a friend or family member and ask God to strengthen, encourage, and guide them.
✨ Pray for their needs, struggles, and relationship with God.
✨ Spend time praying for missionaries around the world.
✨ Encourage someone today by sending them a text, praying with them, or simply letting them know you prayed for them.

You never know how God might use one prayer, one message, or one moment of encouragement to remind someone that they are seen, loved, and not alone.

REMEMBER HIS FAITHFULNESS.

Sometimes we move so quickly through our days that we forget to stop and recognize just how faithful God has been.

Today, take a moment to reflect on one way God has been faithful to you this week. Maybe He answered a prayer, gave you strength when you needed it, provided something you needed, or simply reminded you that you are never alone.

Don’t let that moment pass by without giving Him thanks.

MAKE SPACE TO LISTEN.

In a world filled with noise, notifications, and distractions, it can be easy to miss the quiet voice of God.

Today, set aside 10–15 minutes to be alone with God without distractions. Find a quiet place, put away your phone, and simply slow down.

Begin by quieting your heart and asking God to speak to you. Read a passage of Scripture. Sit in silence. Pray. Listen for what He may be placing on your heart.

You don’t have to rush. You don’t have to fill the silence. Just make space for Him.

YOUR CHALLENGE:
✨ Set aside 10–15 minutes to spend alone with God.
✨ Read a passage of Scripture, sit in silence, and listen intentionally.
✨ Write down a verse, thought, or encouragement you feel during your quiet time.
✨ Challenge yourself to slow down and make space for God’s voice today.

PRAY: “Jesus, quiet my heart and help me slow down enough to hear You. Give me a heart that listens and a spirit that is attentive to Your voice.”

National Girls Ministries Week is almost here!

Starting Sunday, we’ll be taking on a daily challenge designed to help you slow down, pray boldly, encourage others, and trust God more.
