Congratulations to our Industrial Trades students for earning second place at the 2026 SGT Willard Magoon Welding Challenge on Tuesday!

These students represented River Valley Technical Center in this hands-on welding competition, where teams were challenged to design and build a project using a variety of materials and welding processes. Students were evaluated on technical complexity, safety, project quality, and artistic merit.

We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, creativity, and skill. Great job representing RVTC!

Kelly Stettner of the Black River Action Team gave a demonstration about stream morphology, water quality management, and erosion to the RVTC Horticulture and Natural Resources program. Students were engaged in discussion and a hands on lab involving a stream simulator. They were able to see first hand how changing the dynamic of a stream or river through channelization and dredging impact water quality and erosion levels.
