Our latest classroom grant is a fun one! PTSA recently purchased several digital microscopes for our science classrooms — and they're already hard at work, with students getting up close with brine shrimp. There's nothing like watching kids light up over hands-on science! 🦐🔬

Grants like this are only possible because of our community's support. Our annual fundraiser wraps up this Friday, and every dollar raised stays right here at Cherokee. Whatever you can give makes a difference — link in comments!

Quick reminder that our first PTSA meeting of the year is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, at 6:00 PM in the library. We'll cover our plans and priorities for the year ahead, budget updates, upcoming events, and hear from Mr. Ivey. This is a great chance to meet other parents and see how you might want to get involved. We'd love to see you there!
Also — our annual fundraiser wraps up in 5 days, and we're currently at 50% of our goal. If you haven't had a chance to contribute or share it with family and friends, now's a great time. Every dollar raised stays right here at Cherokee!

Classroom grants are one of the biggest things your PTSA funds every year — and our first one of the season is a great example of why. 📚

We're funding a virtual visit from author Alyson Ge**er for our librarian, Ms. Bengsch! Alyson's book is on the 2026–27 Truman Award Nominees list, and she'll be talking with our students in Q3.
