One of the ways Asia Pacific Media is multiplying the message of Christ is by equipping the next generation of Christian storytellers.

These photos show Chloe Tonogbanua, a graduate of our Likha Short Film Lab, and her team transforming the Asia Pacific Media Philippines office into a filming location for their church's latest short film.

Just one year ago, Chloe joined Likha as an aspiring filmmaker. During the program, she created Landas, a short film that went on to win Best Film. Today, she's using the skills she gained to serve her local church and share the hope of the Gospel through media.

That's the heart of Likha.

Likha Short Film Lab is a free four-week training program where aspiring Christian filmmakers learn how to write, film, and produce Gospel-centered short films under the guidance of experienced mentors. The program concludes with a film festival where participants premiere their films and celebrate the stories God has given them to tell.

Every filmmaker we train has the potential to reach thousands of people with the message of Jesus.

Key
"Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge..." (Luke 11:52 NIV)
Jesus pronounced a woe on the experts in the Law because they believed their titles, positions, and education gave them exclusive access to God's truth. Out of pride, and a fear of losing their influence, they opposed Jesus publicly. They acted as though they were the key to understanding Scripture, when in reality, Jesus is the key (Luke 24:44-48).
Let's wrestle with a couple of thoughts.
If you're reading this devotional, you're probably not intentionally keeping people from Jesus. You're not preaching against Him or denying that He is the way, the truth, and the life. But what about the moments when we stay silent?
When God opens a door for us to speak, or the Holy Spirit nudges us to share our faith, do we hesitate because we're worried about what people will think? Are we afraid of losing approval, fitting in, or damaging a friendship? Sometimes silence isn't just fear, it can become a subtle form of pride, where protecting our reputation matters more than pointing people to Jesus.
Here's another angle.
Think about how we train the people on our ministry teams. Do we ever hold back knowledge, skills, tips, or shortcuts, not because someone isn't ready, but because we're afraid they'll become better than us? Do we quietly "gatekeep" what we know so we can remain the go-to person?
Kingdom leadership doesn't work that way. Healthy leaders don't hoard knowledge they multiply it. They celebrate when others grow, improve, and even surpass them.
As we serve this week, let's remember that Jesus is the key. Let's not keep that key in our pockets. Whether we're sharing the gospel, mentoring a volunteer, or teaching someone a new skill, let's open the door for others and point them to Him. - Keith Garner

"When Jesus left there, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose Him fiercely and to besiege Him with questions, waiting to catch Him in something He might say." (Luke 11:53-54 NIV)
Questions are powerful tools. They can bring clarity, deepen understanding, and encourage honest self-reflection. Jesus often used questions to teach, challenge, and reveal what was in people's hearts.
But not every question is asked for the right reason.
The religious leaders weren't looking for truth, they were looking for ammunition. Their questions weren't sincere; they were tests. They hoped Jesus would say something they could use against Him.
Have you ever been in a conversation where it felt like every question was a trap? Instead of trying to understand you, the other person seemed to be waiting for you to say the wrong thing. If you've experienced that, remember that Jesus has too. He understands what it's like to face questions driven by suspicion instead of love.
This passage also invites us to examine our own hearts.
How do we use questions as leaders, teammates, parents, or friends? Do we ask questions to understand, or to prove a point? Do our questions invite honest conversation, or do they put people on the defensive? Good questions create clarity. Bad questions create conflict.
As we serve this week, let's pay attention to both the motivation and the tone behind our questions. May our questions reflect the heart of Jesus, helping people grow, not trapping them in failure. - Keith Garner
