One Springfield

One Springfield is the Vote NO on Repeal Campaign. Vote NO on Question 1 on April 7th to protect your friends, neighbors, and co-workers from losing their jobs or homes just because they are gay or transgender. On October 13, 2014, the Springfield City Council passed a bill to amend the city's current nondiscrimination ordinance by adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected categories in employment, housing, and public accommodations -- protecting LGBT citizens in Springfield from being fired, denied housing, and denied access to public accommodations simply for being gay or transgender. On November 5th, 2014, an opposition group turned in signatures to attempt to repeal these protections through an April 7th, 2015 ballot referendum. One Springfield, or the Vote NO on Repeal Campaign, will work to fight the repeal and defend these protections for all Springfieldians, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
