A lot of what he says on here is pertinent to myself and the dojo.
Although I don’t rely on the fees to live on, I still have obligations I have to abide by.

This seminar this weekend with guest instructor Chuck Kerrigan, was an extraordinary opportunity to train and learn with one of the best.

During his over six decades-long international career in karate, sensei Kerrigan has gained not only knowledge and skill, but valuable insight into karate.

Today our group was small. Which means those who attended got a special session with individual instruction. If you were unable to attend, you missed a rare opportunity to learn new techniques and kata applications.
The Tekki Shodan Oyo was extremely interesting and pretty brutal.
And he’s a funny guy too!

As there was only three of us tonight in the dojo we did some test prep.
And as a throwback Tuesday treat, I introduced Brandi and Lee to Bo kata Shodan no kon.
Fun!

Starting August 25 we will now be offering tai chi and qigong classes.
Hosted by certified Instructor Dennis Afeld on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
11:30-12:30 for beginners
1:00-2:00 for intermediate

Coming September 12, Sensei Chuck Kerrigan, 7th dan.
Sensei Kerrigan has decades of experience in karate, not just shotokan.

As a reminder, our dojo is fairly small and as such participants will be limited to 20 in each session.
As it fills up, I will post how many spaces remain.
