Yesterday, the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Hilton Garden Inn Eugene / Springfield’s beautiful remodel in a joint ribbon cutting, with Mayor Sean VanGordon - Springfield, OR, City Councilor Michelle Webber, Chamber Ambassadors, and community members joining us for the special occasion.

This exciting renovation comes as the Hilton Garden Inn celebrates 15 years of operations and membership with the Springfield Chamber. Since opening in 2011, the Hilton Garden Inn has provided essential accommodations to visitors in the Springfield area, and we are grateful for their continued dedication to supporting the community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the celebration, and congrats to the Hilton Garden Inn on the amazing renovations!

With live entertainment, booths lined up across downtown, and more, this event was an exciting reminder of what makes Springfield so special ❤️

Springfield's The Block Party is a free, annual community celebration held each September in historic Downtown Springfield. Now in its seventh year, the event draws 15,000 attendees across ten city blocks of Main Street, featuring live music, local food, family activities, and 140+ local business and civic partners.

Springfield's The Block Party is produced by Community Activation Network, a 501(c)(3) public charity, with SELCO Community Credit Union as title sponsor.

Last week, Springfield entrepreneur Cynthia Koza announced that Rise & Shine is officially an employee-owned company, giving the approximately 250 people who have helped build the Springfield caregiving agency an opportunity to share in the value they are creating.

At the recent Chamber Roundtable + Tour, attendees gained an inside look at the 2025 Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Pillar of the Community and global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, International Paper.

International Paper's Springfield facility produces linerboard, a key component of corrugated paper boxes, with recycled and renewable materials.

Through presentations and a tour of the Springfield Containerboard Mill, this event highlighted International Paper's long-standing commitment to responsible operations and community growth, which has established the company as an integral contributor to Springfield's economy.
