Got ideas for your downtown but wondering why some of them never quite get moving?

The 2026 Illinois Main Street Conference is bringing together sessions designed to help communities move from ideas to action.

🏚️ The From Vacancy to Vitality team from Wood River Business Alliance will share how communities can tackle vacant and neglected properties.

🤝 Building Trust at the Table explores how municipalities, nonprofits, business owners, and other partners can actually move downtown projects forward. Session led by Tanner Melvin, of Side Street Studio Arts.

And don't forget, Erik Reader will kick things off on Wednesday afternoon with the limited-capacity Where Downtown Momentum Gets Stuck workshop, helping participants identify barriers and leave with a focused 90-day priority.

Because revitalization isn’t just about having a great idea. It’s about building the alignment, tools, and momentum to make it happen.
