From planning seasonal menus and preparing meals to serving residents with a smile, our kitchen team does much more than put food on the table. They continuously create meals that bring our residents together.

We are so grateful for the hard work and creativity they put into each meal. Their commitment to our residents does not go unnoticed.

🌱 Growing Good Things at Illinois Presbyterian Home! 🌱
Illinois Presbyterian Home has been a proud participant in the Beyond Green Sustainable Food Partners Assistive Living Program.
Through this pilot program, our kitchen team received training on preparing farm-to-table meals using locally sourced ingredients. It also helped connect our Kitchen Manager with local farmers and producers, creating new opportunities to bring fresh, seasonal ingredients to the tables at IPH.
While the two-year pilot program is now wrapping up, this is just the beginning for IPH! We are committed to continuing these practices and making locally sourced, fresh ingredients a part of the dining experience for our residents.
We are so proud of our kitchen team for embracing this opportunity, learning new ways to serve our residents, and putting so much care into every meal. Well, done, team! 👏
We would also like to give a very special thanks to our board members (especially Candy!), Westminster Presbyterian Church of Springfield, IL and the Sangamon County Board.
This is just one of the many things that makes Illinois Presbyterian Home such a special place to call home. ❤️
