Chifin Native Youth Center
The Springfield Indian Education/Title VI Program serves Native youth and families in the Springfield School District.
The Springfield Public Schools Office of Indian Education offers culturally specific programs for Native American youth and their families. Programs include academic support and tutoring, STEM programs, college preparation, Native youth group, early literacy programming, and Native drumming, crafting and other cultural events, including the annual Pow Wow. We partner with the University of Oregon and UO's Native American Student Union, Lane Community College, the Brattain House, the Siletz and other tribes, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Willamette Forest/McKenzie River Recreation District and other local agencies.
