Follow up from the Dr today. Madilynn had a avulsion fracture that they didn't notice in the first few x‐rays on her elbow. The good news is they said it has already healed. The Dr said she has excellent range of motion so far. She will be starting physical therapy soon. The dr said if by next Monday she has better range of motion she can start riding again!
She's practicing her form while shopping this morning 😅

We have been excited for SuperMotocross to be so close to home since it was announced, but the cherry on top was Thunder Ridge Nature Arena hosting a WMX invitational. Madilynn has wanted to watch the women race so bad. It was an incredible weekend for her, she got to meet all the women riders and get signed autographs! She sat with Lachlan and watched the mains and cheered them on at the podium!
All of the women riders were incredible, they all encouraged her racing career and showed support for her!
We came for the women and they didn't disappoint at all. True class and sportsmanship from every one of them.
Prado!
SuperMotocross today!

September 15th 2 years ago our lives drastically changed, Madilynn lined up for her first ever gate drop, her first race at 13 years old. We had no idea what we were doing. Mad told us she wanted to race motocross and we got her a bike. We didn't know what kind of bike to get, we didn't know anything about the sport prior to this. We bought her a crf110, it was the wrong bike. We put her in the 85 beginner class. We should have known after the first race how much she would love this sport, she was on a 110 making passes and jumping jumps with almost no suspension. We didn't know how much better a 85 was, the power and the suspension.
She placed 4th in this race.
After seeing the other bikes we found her a 85 the next week. She learned how to use a clutch that week so she could be ready for the next race the following weekend. We made it to practice and the 85 bottom end locked up. She was disappointed, she wanted to race it so bad. We found another 85 while at the track and worked out a deal on it and had her back racing. She ended up taking 1st in the beginner championship.
We made a deal with her, if she took it seriously we would also. Neither of us has broke that deal to the other.
She has had a hard start to MX, we didn't get her into it on 50s, she had to take alot of hard hits on 85s learning basic mx. We (her parents) didn't ride growing up or have any knowledge to extend to her. Shes been ran over by big bikes and used as traction, shes broken bones, taken dirt naps and currently is out for a severely dislocated elbow. She is tough, stubborn, and loves the sport. Shes is down right now, in pain, and all she wants to do is get back on her bike, train and race.
She has put in some serious hard work in 2 short years.
She will be back racing when shes healed up, we still dont know if it will be in 7 weeks or 7 months, but shes determined, shes motivated, this is just another challenge for her to overcome.
Madilynn when she woke back up from the ketamine they used to put her out to reset her elbow.
Its hard to hear her, she says "that old nursery rhyme from the sea, 7 chipmunks..." 🤣

Her elbow is back in place! Shes still pretty out of it from being put out but so far everything looks good. The dr said we wont know about ligaments for a few weeks but there's no numbness or tingling and all her fingers work.
Thanks for all the love!
Thanks to all the moto family that helped her and us. Loading the trailer, hauling the trailer for us, taking care of rutt, helping her off the track, but above all thanks for showing her you all care so much, she really appreciates it. 💚💜
