As students prepare to return to campus, we’re reminded that campus police officers are sworn, POST-certified law enforcement professionals committed to protecting our communities every day. From responding to emergencies and investigating crimes to providing lifesaving assistance and supporting those in crisis, campus police play a vital role in keeping our campuses safe.

The Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association is advocating for legislation that would provide eligible public higher education campus police officers with equitable Heart Bill protections and Group 4 retirement benefits recognizing the important work they do and helping strengthen campus public safety across the Commonwealth.

Whether you’re spending the day with family and friends, enjoying a backyard barbecue, attending a local parade, or watching a fireworks display, we encourage everyone to make safety a priority.

Please celebrate responsibly by planning ahead if alcohol is involved, designating a sober driver, staying aware of your surroundings, and leaving fireworks to licensed professionals. A little preparation can go a long way in ensuring everyone has a fun and memorable holiday.

🚨Big things are coming to STCC Police Department!

Sergeant Mongeon and Detective Tardy are hard at work preparing to bring rad Kids to campus for our youngest heroes! The STCC Police Department is excited to launch this program and give children the confidence, awareness, and safety skills they can carry with them for a lifetime.

Alongside our ongoing R.A.D. for Women program, we’re proud to continue our mission of empowering our community through education, confidence, and personal safety.

We can’t wait to welcome our youngest heroes and watch them grow stronger, smarter, and more confident every step of the way.

STCC URGENT WEATHER ALERT: Due to extreme heat the campus will close early today at 5PM. All on campus activities, on-line classes, and remote work for employees are cancelled this evening, Wednesday July 1, 2026.
