From Springfield to Iceland!
We were honored to welcome U.S. Ambassador to Iceland Billy Long and Icelandic Ambassador to the United States Svanhildur Hólm Valsdóttir for a special Public Policy Speaker Series.
The ambassadors joined members of the Springfield business community for a conversation on international commerce, trade and tourism, the relationship between the United States and Iceland, and opportunities to continue strengthening connections between Iceland and our region.

Our third Nonprofit CEO Roundtable of the year brought nonprofit leaders together for an insightful conversation on the future of the social sector.
Stephanie Pacinella, Senior Director of Strategy & Special Initiatives at Social Current, shared more about Five & Rising, a national movement focused on shifting how the social sector is funded, valued and supported.
Attendees explored the significant economic and community impact of the social sector, the barriers that can limit innovation and growth, and the importance of changing the narrative around how the sector is viewed and supported.
