No Ghostwriter Needed

I had the privilege of hosting a room centered around wealth, ownership, and opportunity.

For me, hosting has never been about standing on a stage with a microphone.

It’s about creating an environment where people feel welcomed, conversations have purpose, and every voice in the room matters.

Before I ever picked up the microphone, I made a decision…

I wasn’t going to leave my culture at the door.

You’ll notice the blazer.

You’ll also notice the Jordans and Nike Dunks.

That wasn’t an accident.

Too often, we’re taught that professionalism means looking less like ourselves.

I don’t believe that.

I believe we can lead meaningful conversations about wealth while staying rooted in the communities that shaped us.

We can talk about ownership without abandoning our identity.

We can build institutions without forgetting the neighborhoods that built us.

At Counted Me Out Productions, our mission continues to grow.

The rooms are getting bigger.

The conversations are getting deeper.

Whether we’re behind the camera documenting the moment or in front of the room helping guide it, our purpose remains the same—to serve our community with excellence while staying true to who we are.

More than a microphone. One of the things we’ve learned over the years is that hosting isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room.

It’s about creating space for other voices to be heard.

It’s about reading the energy, connecting with people, and helping turn a gathering into an experience.

At the Mission-Rich Experience, Mz. Tash had the opportunity to do what she loves most—engage, encourage, and help bring people together around meaningful conversations.

While CMOP documented the event through photography and film, moments like these remind us that storytelling doesn’t only happen behind the camera.

Sometimes it begins with a microphone, a room full of people, and a willingness to connect.
