We specialize in kitchen glassware found in a 5-state area around Springfield, MO - Fire King/Anchor Hocking, Pyrex, Federal Glass, Jeannette Glassware, and Hazel Atlas. We also feature a unique selection of fun, mid-century items which can certainly be conversation items and liven up your home entertaining including bar sets, drink sets, George Briards pieces, Hollywood Regency style and more. My Story:
I love a good story. And, glassware can tell an amazing story of families, tradition, memories and making memories. I started collecting over 20 years ago and love finding treasures. My brother and I used to collect treasures together up until his death in 2013. As part of discovering joy in my grief, I started Chinkapin Farm Vintage (my physical store in Springfield, MO) in 2015 and began Four40Four Vintage Etsy Store as the online store sister. I love connecting with people and hearing about their story - the story of the pieces I find while out traveling around at sales and the story I hear from a customer that finds that one piece that their aunt had at Christmas. We all have at least one story and that one vintage item can bring the love back like it happened yesterday. I personally love FireKing and McKee glassware along with 1940's pottery. I believe that vintage treasures, especially kitchen glassware, can help interweave the stories and histories of our families from then to the present to pass on to our future. My Grandfather's farm inspired the name as it has several of the rare Chinkapin Oak trees. Once numerous throughout Missouri. A special and beautiful oak tree with sweet acorns (deer and wildlife are especially fond of) and hard to find like some of the vintage treasures you'll find on your visit. I discovered this beautiful oak on a walk with my Dad on Christmas Eve and he shared memories of Grandpa and growing up on the farm. A special Thank You to my Dad and Mom for helping to this dream started and Love to my Brother, Daniel - whom inspires me from heaven to share our love for "all things vintage".

A few weeks back I shared an antique sitting bench. While bringing the bench back to life I discovered layers of material from the past on the seat of the bench.
Most of the layers were in poor condition. This layer was revealed after 3 layers. I just loved the blooms. Instead of tossing this vintage material (from the 30s or 40s) I saw its potential. After a gentle cleaning and finding this gold gilded oval frame I got years ago, I knew they were a match.
Aren’t the blooms just lovely? This sweet piece is ready for a new chapter of beauty and this little project gave me a fresh reminder to look past the layers to discover the potential to bloom.
