Motorist Assistance Road Service (MARS) is widely regarded as the most recommended non-tow roadside assistance company in Springfield, Illinois. Operating 7 days a week. Monday through Friday 7am to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm, Sunday 11am to 10pm.
Today we remember as a nation the tragic events 25 years ago. I’m not posting pictures of that dark day. But I am remembering all the victims, their families, and the first responders. Especially my FDNY brothers and sisters who I personally knew worked the towers in New York, and my Navy (USS Scott DDG-995) brother who was assigned to the Pentagon and gave his life so others could live. NEVER FORGET! ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL!

On this day....25 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001.
In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Mr. Schlegel was starting his tour on the Scott as I was finishing mine. Even though our time together was brief, he did make an impression. He was also one of several who told me at my check out; “You’ll be back, not tomorrow or next year, but in a couple years you will be back in. You have the “lifer” glare in your eyes, “lifer” talk in your speech, and the “lifer” swagger in your walk.” I can quote him because he wrote the comment in the comment section of my check out sheet. He was right, I did go back. FWFS, We have the watch.🇺🇸😢
