SAG member Susan Kilgore will be participating in the ANNUAL OPEN EXHIBITION at the Bodzin Gallery.  Her paintings are "Garden Bathed in Moonlight" Watercolor & "Pink-Water-Lilies-Bathed in Sunlight".
The show runs October 21-December 6, 2026. The Bodzin Gallery is part of the Smith-Kogod Cultural Arts Center at the Pozez JCC in Fairfax, Virginia.

"I am fascinated with water, both as a painting medium and as a painting subject. Many of my paintings depict water-based scenes—snow, the ocean, coral reefs, fish, sea creatures—but I also enjoy painting everyday objects, landscapes, florals, and birds. Recently, I have been experimenting with more nontraditional approaches, techniques, and materials in my work, and painting on experimental papers with a mixture of watercolor products (for example nonporous or colored papers and powdered, metallic, or granulating watercolors). I see myself as a lifelong learner and I am always looking for new things to try.
Acrylic ink flows and puddles giving an otherworldly aspect to this surreal piece. The thin layers give a depth of movement to the wet landscape. Is it another reality, a forlorn castle in the mist, an eerie field after a long and heavy winter rain? …. just imagine!"
