America Ambulance Service is officially acquiring Dispatch Medical Transport, to begin operations on September 1, 2026.

This is an exciting new chapter for both organizations, bringing together over 60 years of emergency and non-emergency medical transportation expertise under one roof.

Thank you to those who have, and who continue to put trust in both organizations. We are excited that this acquisition will allow both services to continue providing the highest quality medical transportation to the communities, patients, and healthcare partners we serve in central Illinois.

For all DMT transport requests, you can continue utilizing the 217-416-5032 phone number, which will be routed through the America Ambulance dispatch line beginning on September 1.

We’re halfway through the fair! Our crew will be out at the fair through Sunday, ready to serve and assist with any medical needs that may arise.

Beat the Heat at the State Fair! ☀️🎡

Heading to the State Fair this week? With the summer heat and long days outside, make sure you’re taking care of yourself and those around you.

💧 Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🌤️ Take breaks — find shade or air conditioning and give your body a chance to cool down.
👕 Dress appropriately — lightweight, breathable clothing can help keep you cool.
👀 Watch out for the warning signs of heat-related illness:
• Headache
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Heavy sweating
• Weakness or fatigue
• Nausea or vomiting
• Muscle cramps
• Confusion or unusual behavior
• Hot, flushed skin
• Fainting or loss of consciousness

If someone develops confusion, loss of consciousness, seizures, or extremely hot skin, treat it as a medical emergency and call 911.
