Exciting news, the LGBTQ+ Death Café is back! 🌈🕯
Join death doulas Cecily Robertson and Alex Alatorre once more to gather around some sweet treats and hot tea for an open and supportive conversation on death, dying, grief, and how these are experienced in relation to the q***r community. The LGBTQ+ Death Café will now open its doors on a semi-regular basis, so make sure to keep an eye out, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone 🧁💀

Come check out what we've been brewing behind the scenes for you all! It's always so exciting finding new ways in which we can explore heavy topics together in a less serious and scary way. I'm so thrilled to offer these two workshops along with Liberated Creatives and The Story House Bookstore 💜📖
💀️If you enjoy board games and the idea of contemplating more deeply about Death and Dying, the Playing with Death workshop will be right down your alley! Come play some rounds of the Death Deck, if you dare 😉🃏
💀On the other hand, if connecting with your creative side while exploring these topics sounds better for you, I invite you to look into the Calaveritas Literarias workshop. Come learn about the beautiful Mexican tradition of writing light hearted poems related to death and grief, and how creativity can help us process heavy emotions and humor can help us approach death in a less serious and scary manner 🖋🕯

I think about this poem all the time and I really wanted to share it with you all. My deathwork certification teacher shared it with me and the rest of the class during our lesson on grief, and it truly stuck with me. Not only is it beautifully written and it gives us a stunning visual regarding stepping into the space of someone else's grief, but it also offers some great advise on how to best show up for each other in those places. I love this little poem and the wisdom it can share with us so much 💚
