The Gambler

build here in Black 100% Beaver fur felt, The Gambler is a classic among classics. Distinguished by its tapered telescopic crown and kettle curled catch-brim sized brim, ranging between 3 and 3.5 inches. As a shop we prefer a ribbon bound edge but the brim can alternatively be left “raw” or unbound. The finish around the base can be trimmed in classic hat ribbon, leather, horse hair or any number of other options. This black and white handwoven horse hair hatband is a stunner!

The King’s Crown.

The King’s Crown is a Fluted Gus style set at 3.5” in the front transitioning to 5.25” in the back. With the front set to a medium pinch and vents pulled to half the volume of the crown, this piece is easily adapted to a wearers face shape and proportion. We cut the brim to 3.5” and kept the edge raw with the emphasis on the traditional Olive colored ribbon finish at the base of the crown.

Elongated Teardrop in Vented Oak Palm.

The Teardrop is the most easily adapted style. Each piece is adjusted to fit the wearers head size and shape, overall height and proportion. Minor adjustments make this appropriate for any wearer. Dress it up or down with your desired finish. This Elongated Teardrop is made to fit a Long Oval head shape, with a medium pinch to fit a masculine facial structure. Finished with vintage dead stock Black ribbon for a summer look appropriate for an evening out or a trip to the office.
