Today's random act of kindness

Teamwork makes the dream work. I have always tried to show appreciation for my teams, whether I was coaching volleyball or leading a team in a company or organization. My outside the box way of doing things can be scary for folks who like things their way. But I believe in other people. And I believe in the power of team. Most of all, I believe in doing whatever it takes to help others find success.

I am excited for this new school year.

Grief doesn’t take a holiday and seems to rise to the surface at the most inconvenient times. But we must give ourselves the time and the space to feel so we can continue to heal.

As the school year officially begins here in my part of the world, life gets busier for many of us. Mindfulness and intentionality ground me on the busy days. My primary coping techniques are staying present and leaning into joy. Kindness sustains me.

So, this school year, I challenge you to commit to spreading joy and coping with the ups and downs of life by completing RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. Twice a month, I will post a random act suggestion, and we will have two weeks to make it happen.

It ain’t easy being almost blind. It also ain’t easy living with this god-awful insurance. But I am grateful! And there is no joy like the joy that comes from seeing clearly! (There’s a message in that…)
