We cover the news, politics, people, and trends in everything from fashion to dining to landscaping that matter to STL's LGBTQ+ communities and allies. Out in STL is the news, politics and lifestyle magazine designed for LGBTQ and LGBTQ-curious readers who are enjoying a new era of acceptance, social mobility and economic growth. Our readers are pursuing a career or higher education, partnered up or actively looking, busy building a full life of friendship, (alternative and traditional) family and social engagement. Our readers are interested in personal and financial growth, travel, living a fulfilling life, and are actively engaged in social issues, including but not limited to LGBTQ political and cultural issues. In addition to our website and social media, we publish four print issues each year:
Winter (December, January, February)
Spring (March, April, May)
Summer (June, July, August)
Fall (September, October, November)
Publication dates: 3rd week of the preceding month. We encourage freelance contributions in most areas of the website and magazine, and in a variety of formats, from 300-word news capsules and short commentaries to 5,000-word feature articles. Payment is based on length, content and the extent of original reporting and research involved. We are interested in original stories, essays and commentary only – no reprints, with two exceptions: We will consider pieces that you would like to adapt or rewrite substantively for OiSTL.

🏳️🌈 Drag Queen Bingo returns October 24!
The annual Drag Queen Bingo Fundraiser will be held this year at Wydown United Church (formerly First Congregational Church of St. Louis, UCC), 6501 Wydown Blvd. in Clayton.

🚪 Doors open at 6 p.m.
🎱 Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m.
🎟️ $25 per person
The event raises funds for the Open and Affirming Coalition of the United Church of Christ and Alliance Q of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Open and Affirming churches are also invited to prepare gift baskets for the silent auction. Proceeds from the baskets will provide scholarships for those attending the organizations’ national gatherings.

A new St. Louis nonprofit is working to make q***r-affirming mental health care more accessible — and it’s introducing itself to the community with a party.
PrideFull, a locally based nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status pending, connects LGBTQIA+ people with trusted, q***r-affirming therapists while raising funds to help cover the cost of care.
The organization will celebrate its official launch Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Third Degree Glass in the Delmar Maker District. The evening will feature drag, dancing, food and drinks, with performances by Lucy Couture, Vanessa Frost, Chloe Curiosity, Ming Lee, Luna Thicc and Marcella S. Devereaux.
The party runs from 7–11 p.m., with the show beginning at 8.
Proceeds will support PrideFull’s mission of funding therapy sessions and expanding access to long-term mental health care for LGBTQIA+ people.
