On this day in 1821, Missouri officially became a state.
The USA just celebrated its semi-quincentennial (250 years), and yet it's easy to forget how young this country still is, let alone the state of Missouri. 205 years ago, Missouri was a brand-new state on land that was, and still is, home to Indigenous nations, including the Osage and Missouria.
Happy statehood day, Missouri! We're grateful to get to celebrate and showcase Missouri's history, culture, languages, and communities every day. ✨

Every patch purchased also enters you in a raffle for a handcrafted physical quilt inspired by the design.
