Trees for Troops

Supporters like 7 G’s Family Farm are essential to making Trees for Troops possible year after year. Their 21 years of participation says a lot about the commitment behind this mission.

Thank you to the entire 7 G’s Family Farm team for continuing to step up for military families and helping kick off the 2026 Trees for Troops season. Support from dedicated farms and partners across the country keeps this program growing. 🎄🇺🇸

📦🎄 Special delivery is getting a new look.

FedEx Freight's art and design team reimagined the Trees for Troops® tree tag, with one important requirement: leave plenty of room for the personal messages that make these tags so special.

The new design includes tree-care tips, a holiday message for military families, and a big blank space for growers, donors, volunteers, and supporters to add their own words of thanks.

And there’s another new name involved this year. WestHort, the newest Christmas Spirit Foundation sponsor, is producing the tags for the 2026 season.

Soon, these will be traveling right along with donated Christmas trees to military families. 💚🇺🇸

Take a look at the new design. What message would you write on one?

Christmas doesn’t begin when the lights go up. For Trees for Troops®, it begins months earlier. 🎄🇺🇸

It begins on farms where trees are cared for through the heat of summer. It continues with supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and communities helping prepare for the moment those trees reach military families during the holidays.

That is why support now matters. The work behind December is already underway.

This one feels like a kid’s whole Christmas thought squeezed onto one tag. 🇺🇸🎄

A big flag, a Christmas tree, and a handwritten message headed out with a Trees for Troops® tree during the 2025 season.

These tags were never polished, and that was the point. They were personal. Someone sat down, grabbed a marker, and sent a little piece of home along for the ride.

Some messages deserve to be shared. 🇺🇸🎄

The U.S. Coast Guard recently sent this letter thanking the Christmas Spirit Foundation and Trees for Troops® for including Coast Guard members and families in this year’s Christmas tree distribution.

One line says it especially well: the program helps remind Coast Guard families “that America cares about their contributions to this Nation.”

That is the heart of this mission.

For service members spending the holidays far from home and family, a real Christmas tree can bring comfort, tradition, and a familiar piece of the season with it.

Grateful for every grower, donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who helps make moments like this possible.

Semper Paratus. 🇺🇸💚

A Christmas tree can change the feel of a room.

For a military family spending the holidays away from loved ones, that familiar sight can bring back a little piece of home. 🎄🇺🇸

That is what Trees for Troops® has been working to provide since 2005, with support from growers, donors, volunteers, partners, and communities across the country.

Every contribution helps put another real Christmas tree into the hands of a military family.

A new Trees for Troops® record is coming in 2026. 🎄🇺🇸

This season, 100 military bases will distribute free Christmas trees to service members and military families, and 16 of those locations will be participating for the very first time.

That means more communities, more families, and more opportunities to deliver a little Christmas Spirit where it belongs.

A little Georgia Christmas Spirit made the trip with this one. 🎄💚

This tag from Sleepy Hollow Farm in Powder Springs, Georgia kept it simple: “Merry Christmas.”

Sometimes that is all a tree needs before it heads out to a military family. A farm-grown tree, a handwritten note, and a little hometown care attached for the ride.

Just about a month to go until the World’s Largest Corn Maze 5K. 🌽🏃
