The countdown to a new school year is on! As construction wraps up at the Discovery Lab, we’re excited to see this space inspire curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

Designed for collaboration as much as service, the work café at the completed St. Louis County Police Precinct 2 gives officers and staff a comfortable space to connect, recharge, and work throughout the day. With a mix of casual seating, dining areas, and flexible workspaces, it supports everything from quick conversations to focused individual work.

Who wants a sweet treat??😋☕

Construction is wrapping up on Urban Sprouts’ new Café Au Play in University City, Missouri. Transforming a former automotive repair shop into a welcoming community destination, the project reflects Urban Sprouts’ belief that early childhood development extends beyond the classroom to support the entire family. Designed as an inclusive gathering space, the café will serve families across the community, creating opportunities for connection, nourishment, and play while breathing new life into an existing neighborhood building.

Say hello to our summer intern, Kirsten, a Kansas State student from Derby, Kansas! Her goal this summer is to better understand construction documentation and sharpen her software skills. When she’s not at JEMA, you can find her hanging out with her cat Tuna, creating a keychain, or solving a Rubik's Cube. Welcome, Kirsten!
