Illphonics
Celebrated live Hip-Hop Fusion group based out of Saint Louis, MO “Illphonics raised the bar for hip-hop in St.
Louis more than ten years ago and now the group is taking to big stages such as the Sheldon to show off its evolution of the genre. The band counts some serious music luminaries among its fans — no less than Tony Visconti, David Bowie's longtime producer, even reached out to collaborate on its newest material.”

Three years away. One stage. One family reunion.
This Friday, we kick things off at Music at the Intersection.
If you’ve ever rocked with us, this is your chance to be part of the next chapter. If you’ve never seen us live, you’re about to get a glimpse of the energy, musicianship, and soul that helped shape the sound of St. Louis.
We’re not just looking back. We’re building toward 2027, when we’ll release new music and begin a new era.
This isn’t just another show.
It’s a celebration. A reunion. A reminder of where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
Celebrate with us.

Two decades. Same foundation. Same brotherhood.
What started as a band became something much bigger than any of us could have imagined. The miles, the stages, the late nights, the victories, the setbacks. Every chapter shaped who we are.
We’re honored to return to MATI (Music At The Intersection) this year, and while we’re building something special for 2027, we wanted to take a moment to look back before looking ahead.
Thank you to Jasmine Osby for capturing a piece of our journey. Article in bio

From New Orleans to Detroit. From Los Angeles to New York.
We put in the work. Van rides. Late nights. Load-ins. Soundchecks. One more city. One more stage. One more chance to earn it.
The pull up factor was real. We weren’t chasing a sound. We were building one, city by city, crowd by crowd. The road shaped our music, sharpened our live show, and gave us the swagger people know us for today.
Twenty years later, those miles still live in everything we do. They weren’t just tour dates. They became part of the identity of iLLPHONiCS. iLLPHONICS20 See you at MATI (Music At The Intersection) on July 17!

Four of us came from U. City.
Three of us went to Webster University.
The five of us started as Fallout & Friends, playing Webster’s First Friday Open Mic. (First Pic)
From those nights came iLLPHONiCS.
The rest is history. 😉
20 years later, we’re still writing the story.
20 years. Still evolving.
The song “Sundown” highlights one of our deepest dives into electronic music back in 2015. Looking back, you can hear and see ideas that still resonate with where our minds are today.
Keep that in mind as we head toward 2027. 😉
We’re celebrating iLLPHONiCS 20 all year long. This is only the beginning.

When we say 20 years, we really mean 20 years.
To put it in perspective…
2006:
• Twitter launched.
• The Nintendo Wii was released.
• Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet.
• And iLLPHONiCS was formed.
In 2009, we released our first major project, “Sound.” Back then, seeing our name on the Vintage Vinyl marquee honestly felt like we’d made it. It was one of those moments that reminded us this dream might actually be possible.
Twenty years later, we’re still here.
See you at MATI (Music At The Intersection) on July 17th, 5:00 PM at the Big Top Stage as we celebrate 20 years of iLLPHONiCS.

In 2006, we started iLLPHONiCS with a shared vision and a deep love for music. Twenty years later, we’re still standing, still creating, and still family.
This year’s MATI performance is a celebration of those 20 years, the journey we’ve been on, and everyone who’s been part of it.
If you know our music scene, then you already know how we get down. this is our first time on stage together in almost 3 years so this is a show you don’t wanna miss.
We’ll see you at MATI (Music At The Intersection)
